TCM Reading ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at tcmreading.com. We provide online Traditional Chinese Medicine body pattern readings. Our contact address is hello@tcmreading.com.

2. What we collect

When you use TCM Reading we collect:

• Name and email address — provided on the intake form.
• Health information — biological sex, weight range, height range, climate, and answers to 26 symptom questions across 11 body systems.
• Tongue photographs — up to 4 images (top, underside, left, right) taken on your device.
• Payment information — processed directly by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

3. How we use your data

• To generate your personalised TCM body pattern reading using AI analysis.
• To deliver your report to the email address you provided.
• To send you follow-up communications related to your reading (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• To process your payment securely via Stripe.

4. How your data is handled

Your tongue photographs and symptom answers are held temporarily in your browser session (sessionStorage) and sent to our AI provider for analysis. They are not stored in a database and are discarded after your report is generated.

Your name and email are stored by our email provider (Resend) to facilitate delivery of your report and any follow-up communications.

5. Third-party services

We share data with the following third parties solely to provide the service:

• Anthropic — AI analysis of your tongue photographs and symptom answers to produce your reading.
• Stripe — secure payment processing. Governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
• Resend — email delivery of your report and follow-up communications.
• Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure.

We do not sell your data to any third party.

6. Data retention

Tongue photographs and health answers are not retained beyond the session in which your report is generated. Your name and email are retained in our email system for as long as you remain subscribed to communications from us. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@tcmreading.com.

7. Your rights

Under applicable data protection law you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@tcmreading.com.

8. Cookies

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our website uses only the technical cookies required for the site to function.

9. Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Hong Kong, including the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, we handle your data in a manner consistent with the GDPR and UK GDPR respectively.
